Round of 16 of the men's and women's open tournaments decided in Punta Mango
The historic Surf City El Salvador ALAS Global Finals kicked off in perfect waves, and here's a recap.

The round of 16 of the Surf City El Salvador ALAS Global Finals, both men's and women's, were decided today at a fun Punta Mango, which at times was extremely perfect and at others a little inconsistent.
The perfect right-handers stretched out and showed that two Europeans were the best surfers of the day: Gearoid McDaid from Ireland, the current European champion, and Ariane Ochoa, the current runner-up.
The first one scored 16 points with a 9 and a 7, and the second one 12,5 with a 7,5 and a 5. Both with their backs to the wave.
