The result of the second stage of the Uruguayan longboard circuit was a carbon copy of the first: Julián Schweizer won the men's open, Inés Beisso the women's open and Antonio Pita the masters.

The big change was in the location, the conditions and the other finalists: A classic right was chosen at Punta del Diablo that broke long and perfectly throughout the day, a Uruguayan “Noosa”, Schweizer called it.

According to the USU, the results were as follows: In the Men's Open, Julián Schweizer was crowned champion. In the final, he defeated Lucas Vásquez who came second, Francisco Morosini who finished third and Antonio Pita who came fourth.

In the women's category, longboarder Inés Beisso took first place, beating Laura Damico in the final, who finished second, Uma Schweizer, who was third, and Orehana Javiel, who finished fourth.

Finally, in the category for those over 35 years old, Longboard Master, the multiple Uruguayan champion Antonio Pita was the one who was crowned champion after beating in a nice final Sebastián Vásquez who was vice champion, Gonzalo Eiris who finished third and Tomás Moche who was placed in fourth position.

“I am very happy to be able to win the festival in Punta del Diablo and add important points to the national ranking. Being able to win these two consecutive dates motivates me to face the international year in the best way and brings me closer to achieving one of this year's goals, winning the national championship,” said Schweizer.

And he added: “But what makes me happiest is the turnout of this event, it is the second consecutive one that brings together more than 45 longboarders in the three categories. I think that having a competitive and strong national circuit is the basis for this sport to continue growing and for more and more new generations to be motivated to grab the longboard. This makes it clear that surfing and lognboarding at the national level are going in the right direction.”

The current Pan American silver medalist told DUKE that he is now off to the MexiLogFest in Sayulita, Mexico from April 19-29 and “awaiting confirmation of various international competitions around the world.”
