Seba Williams and Leif Engstrom confirmed for WSL aerials event in France

The Mexican and the Puerto Rican were chosen for the most prestigious aerial event of the moment. They join Hector Santamaria who had already been selected.


Mexican Sebastian Williams and Puerto Rican Leif Engstrom were confirmed today as the two wildcards for the Red Bull Airborne, a special aerial event that the World Surf League will hold between October 5 and 10, during the ninth stop of the CT, the Quik and Roxy Pro France that will take place on Culs Nus beach.

With this, the guest list is closed and is as follows:

In an interview with DUKE a couple of weeks ago, Williams had expressed his desire to be part of the event and that I was making every attempt to achieve it. "The event is sponsored by my sponsor Quiksilver and we have already notified them but I will definitely be contacting people because I really want to be at this event." 

Asked if he was more motivated to compete there than in the QS, he said yes and justified: "PBecause aerials are my specialty, I feel like I'm one of the best in the world doing aerials, and especially right now my surfing is on another level that I've never been on before and I just want a platform to show it!"
