Shark claims another life of a surfer on the east coast of Australia

A four-and-a-half-meter white shark bit him on his right thigh

A 59-year-old surfer died today after being attacked by a great white shark at Tuncurry Beach on the mid-north coast of New South Wales, Australia, several media outlets in that country reported.

According to an analysis of the bite on her right thigh, the attack was carried out by a great white shark about 4,5 meters long.

According to local police, the surfer was with three friends whom he alerted when he saw the shark, before it attacked him.

It was his friends who pulled him out of the water, called paramedics immediately and treated him on the spot, but the man had already lost too much blood and died on the beach, which was closed by order of the authorities.
