Slater's pool will have its aerial section

Created by Albee Layer and Josh Kerr. And everything indicates that it will be ready for the CT at the Surf Ranch

Slater's pool will have an aerials section, presumably at the end of the wave, said two of the world's top aerialists, Albee Layer and Josh Kerr, who made a whirlwind visit to the wave a week ago.

For one, Josh Kerr posted on his Instagram on Monday night that “it was fun working on creating the aerials section,” flying over a visibly changed Surf Ranch.

And on the other hand, in an interview published today by Stab, Albee Layer says that they went to the pool in a private jet invited by the WSL and Slater to design a much requested aerial section.

It is clear that the exit of the last tube of the wave would be perfect for placing a ramp, the surfer is coming with good speed and it would be the finishing touch to a course like the one in the pool. But it has not yet been announced where the aerial section will be placed.

Meanwhile, the eye-catching pool in Waco, Texas, has been the setting for some incredible clips thanks to its highly entertaining ramp. And, as everyone knows, Slater doesn't like to lose at anything.

“We improved the pool. It still needs a bit of work but it turned out really good,” Layer said in the interview, adding: “We tried a lot of different sections and we’re getting there. One of the settings kind of gave us a lock. It’s hard to explain.”

On the other hand, he added that nothing so revolutionary will be done. “We went and tried different setups and some of them started working better and better to create a good aerial section,” added Layer.

The Hawaiian concluded by saying that backflips and double twists will be possible in Slater's pool one day.

Asked whether this aerials section will be ready for the CT stage at Slater's pool, Layer said it will "definitely have something new."
