Nicka 35, or simply Nicka, at this point it's unclear whether he's a foiler or a content creator trying to generate buzz on social media, managed to get Eric Geiselman and Kelly Slater to comment on a situation captured on camera.

Using an electric foil, he shows that he has been on a wave for 30 seconds, he is approaching the impact zone and instead of continuing with an open line, he fades and almost collides with a surfer.

In the video, he argues that he has been on the wave for about 40 seconds and that the wave is his.

Several comments contradict this, but two stand out: Kelly Slater and Eric Geiselman, the latter of whom has been a pro for several years and has become a respected foiler worldwide.

Slater simply said, "Is it possible that this guy is that clueless?" He seemed to doubt the veracity of what he was saying, or perhaps he was simply wondering if things like this could really happen.

Meanwhile, Geiselman explained: “Sorry, man, that’s not the right line at all. Common sense would have told you that you were on the best wave of the day on a right-hander with surfers (you were already wrong). Now, to top it all off, you’re foiling and you’ve gone into the sandbar where obviously a surfer would be riding the waves that roll in off the sandbar.”

He adds: “Also, no offense intended, but these are the facts. You could have surfed the same wave coming off the shoulder and used the foil between the waves, gliding through the crowded surf zone. In short, with the foil, look for areas without surfers. And please, don't tell me you can't do it. All my respect and best wishes, I'm glad everyone is okay.”

“Don’t make them cancel us!” he concluded, speaking to them as a foiler, asking for respect in the lineup.
