Slater and his quirks as a traveler

Conde Nast Traveller magazine interviewed the best in history and this is what he said

Eleven-time world champion Kelly Slater told the magazine Condé Nast Traveler an interview about different places in the world that he finds special and some of his quirks when traveling.

“I used to take silverware from room service, that was my thing,” Slater said. “And then if I need a towel and the hotel has a really nice one, I might take it with me.”

She also said that Paris lives up to people's expectations. “I love how ordinary people live in those beautiful old buildings. It's like they're straight out of a fairy tale,” she explained. “Paris is a very valued cultural experience,” she added. On the other hand, she said that Los Angeles was the opposite because of the smog and traffic, that her favorite city is Sydney and a place where the view never gets old is “inside a tube at Pipe.”

He named the Burj Al Arab Jumeira hotel in Dubai as the most exclusive, although he explained that he had not been there. “It’s on the water, it’s built to look like a giant whale. My friend was in this incredible room, all the furniture was huge, like something out of Dr. Seuss. Everything was gold and there was a tapeworm court on the terrace,” he added.
