Slater went to Oahu... To surf in a pool
The best in history left CS Snappers and ended up traveling to Hawaii to try the island's new standing wave
Kelly Slater was oddly signed up for the Snappers challenger but, for a change, he changed his plans at the last minute and the first thing we heard about him was that he was off to try out the new standing wave on Oahu's South Shore.
As is no surprise, he broke it.
He also surfed with several childhood friends such as Ross Williams, Keoni Watson, Doug Silva, Richie Collins, among others.
Slater will now travel to Surf Ranch, where Stage 27 of this year's CT will take place on May 28 and 6.
