Slater will return to competition at this season's Backdoor Shootout.

She will compete as part of the A New Earth Project team alongside Moana, Koa, and JOB.

The greatest of all time, who will turn 54 on February 11, will return to competition this Hawaiian season when he participates in the Backdoor Shootout as part of the A New Earth Project team, the team's organizer, Peter King, reported.

Kelly will compete alongside Koa Smith, Jamie O'Brien and Moana Jones with Luke Tema as the alternate.

The last time Slater competed was at the CT Lowers, a few months ago in June, when he was invited because he sponsored the event with his brand Outerknown.

According to the North Shore Chamber of Commerce, the event will take place, weather permitting, between January 4th and 16th.
