Peruvian teenager Sofía Artieda was crowned champion in the Under 14 and Under 18 categories of the ALAS tour today in the waves of El Sunzal, El Salvador, where she concluded the Surf City ALAS Pro, the last stage of the circuit.
In the Under 14 category, Artieda placed second behind Brianna Barthelmess, but with her achievements this year she was able to surpass her compatriot in the rankings.
She came second in the rankings behind Chuman and ahead of Barthelmess and the ranking ended with her in first place.
Meanwhile, in the Under 18 category, Catalina Zairquiey arrived first, losing in the semi-finals and as Artieda won the division, she did enough to win the title.
