Former ISA and WSL World Champion and Olympian Sofia Mulanovich will compete in the Punta Rocas Open Pro taking place on the legendary southern Lima break from November 15-20.

Mulanovich last competed internationally at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games held in August last year, having won the ISA World Champion title in 2019.

At the WSL level, her last event was in May 2019, at the Iquique QS.

"I'm super happy to be back competing, to put on lycra again, after a long time, and what better way to do it than on a wave as iconic as Punta Rocas," the surfer told Peruvian media yesterday at a press conference.

Sofia's main rivals will be her compatriots Sol Aguirre, Daniella Rosas, Arena Rodriguez, Melanie Giunta, among others, and the Brazilians Tainá Hinckel, Sophia Medina and Laura Raupp.
