Spain crowned its new youth champions
Amatriain, Ayesa, Giorgi, Suárez, Trigueros, González and Odriozola took the title
Iker Amatriain and Angela Ayesa in the Under 18 division, Paolo Giorgi and Melania Suárez in Under 16, Iker Trigueros and Janire González in Under 14 and Hans Odriozola in Under 12 were crowned Spanish national champions yesterday in Liencres, with the conclusion of the Fesurfing Junior Series.
“I am super happy with the victory for the third consecutive year,” Amatriain wrote on her Instagram.
“I still can't believe it, I'm the 2018 Spanish champion,” wrote Angela Ayesa.
“I am very happy to have won the Spanish championship,” wrote Paolo Giorgi in English. Meanwhile, Melania Suárez, who had a quick odyssey because she was competing in the QS in Lacanau, thanked those who helped her to arrive on time and win the championship.
