Aritz Aramburu, Jonathan González, Andy Criere and Gony Zubizarreta in the men's division and Garazi Sánchez, Nadia Erostarbe, Leti Canales and Ariane Ochoa in the women's division are the eight Spaniards summoned to participate in the ISA World Surfin Games 2021 that will take place in El Sunzal and La Bocana between May 29 and June 6, the country's federation reported in a statement published on the website.

From these eight surfers, the final six (three per gender) will be chosen on site to finally participate in the event seeking the open spots for Tokyo 2021, which are seven for women and five for men.

"The coaching staff has been faced with one of the most difficult decisions in recent years," the statement said.
