To be one of the highlights of a season in Puerto often, if not always, comes with a price to pay. On August 14th, on a morning that had been impeccable, Nahuel Amalfitano took a hit that ended up being nominated for this year's XXL awards.

"It was intense, I'll never forget it," said Nahuel about the blow, and if a surfer who has been to Jaws, Tahiti and many of the world's heavy waves says that, it's because it was really heavy.
