The surfing camera and forecasting website Lineup has added lifeguard, surfer and specialist in sea and condition analysis, Hernán Carro, to its team. He will be in charge of analyzing and reporting wave conditions for the Argentine section of the aforementioned website, they reported in a press release.

“Due to his work as a lifeguard and his great passion for surfing, he has traveled to various coastal areas in Argentina and knows their characteristics for surfing and other water sports. His knowledge and travels allow him to analyze the development of swells and the impact on wave formation,” they report in the note.

They add: “Hernan is a unique case in Argentina since, in addition to being a lifeguard with more than 15 years of experience, he is a surf lover and has a profile as a communicator that he has developed through his Instagram account @La.popu2, with more than 20 thousand followers. His work caught the attention of the Lineup team, because on his account he makes daily reports on sea conditions, which are highly valued by the community of water sports and surfers in the capital of Argentine surfing.”
