Surfer saved his life thanks to a lobster trap
And to the infrared drones of the California Coast Guard; he had lost his surfboard on a Friday of solid waves in Santa Barbara.
A surfer was saved by a lobster trap located about 400 meters off the coast in Santa Barbara, California, several local media outlets in California reported.
During the peak of the swell in California last Friday, two surfer friends went into the water, but only one came out and immediately alerted authorities about his friend's absence.
Adding to that, his surfboard quickly appeared on the shore, leading family and friends to fear the worst.
The coast guard began flying over the area with infrared drones and quickly found the surfer clinging to the buoy attached to the lobster trap.
They went to look for him and he was found in good physical condition and therefore he was allowed to go home.
