Surfing hopeful Sky Brown suffered a serious skateboarding accident

He fell about six meters straight onto the concrete, "I'm going to come back stronger," he says in a message from the hospital

Sky Brown, a participant in the respected Stab High aerials event, suffered a very serious accident while skateboarding but lived to tell the tale after sustaining serious injuries, she reported on her YouTube channel.

Brown is one of the most promising young surfers and skaters in the world. During the quarantine, he was practicing on a half pipe when he miscalculated a maneuver and fell into the void.

The surprising thing about all of this is how after the journey, the 11-year-old girl, excited and hurt all over her body, declared: “I don’t usually post my falls, nor do I talk about them, because I want people to see how fun it is in what I do, but this was my worst fall. And I want everyone to know that everything is okay, don’t worry, I’m okay. It’s okay to fall sometimes, I’m going to get back up and push harder. I know there are a lot of things going on in the world right now and I want everyone to know that whatever we do, we will do it with love and happiness.”

Sky's father, Stweart, recounted on Instagram that he had a horrible night that day, holding her in his arms "while she was bleeding and crying in and out of consciousness."

"We spent the night not knowing if Sky would survive, the intensive care team tried to keep her conscious and alive," he added.

Sky said: “This won’t stop me, I’m going for gold in Tokyo 2021.”
