Swiss sportswear giant On is Yago Dora's new sponsor

On, the Swiss sportswear giant known among other things for having Roger Federer as an ambassador, is the new sponsor of current world surfing champion Yago Dora, the brand just announced in a press release.

Dora is now the brand's "fitness and lifestyle ambassador in Brazil," they say. They add that it's "a partnership focused on fitness, continuous improvement, and the power of movement to inspire the next generation."

Yago's sponsorship portfolio, which had just switched from Volcom to Vissla, now includes a giant with a presence in more than 80 countries with a contract whose value has not yet been revealed but is presumed to be extremely generous.

“Training is a central part of my routine as an athlete,” says Yago Dora. “On understands movement in a deep and functional way, and having that support in my training is essential for my evolution. I’m very excited to develop this collaboration,” the surfer adds, according to the press release.

“We are delighted to welcome Yago Dora to the On family,” says Alexandre Martinez, Marketing Director for On in Brazil. “His dedication to training and continuous improvement perfectly reflects what we believe in. Supporting athletes in their physical preparation is a fundamental pillar of our Training division.”

The announcement was accompanied by a short film directed by Pablo Aguiar. According to the director, “the goal is to merge surf film culture—characterized by a poetic, organic, and innovative perspective—with the On universe.”
