Panamanian Tao Rodriguez lost his envelope with four or five boards traveling from Las Flores to San Salvador a couple of days ago, after the conclusion of the ALAS of El Salvador.

Basically, after the three-hour trip, he got off ready to get on the plane to check in his boards and what he saw was the empty roof of the transport, without his boards.

Tao posted on his social networks what happened asking if anyone saw the envelope of boards, to let him know. For now there is no news.

He arrived in Santa Cruz with one day to train, but first to get boards and wetsuit.

As he himself mentioned in an interview after winning his debut heat with the highest score of the round so far, the people at O'Neill, the event sponsor and local brand from Santa Cruz, got him a wetsuit and his shaper, Michael Baron of Byrne Surfboards, a replacement board.

Instead of everything going wrong, everything went right for Tao, who killed it with two right hands that gave him 8,67 and 5,17 to advance alongside Mexican Alan Cleland.
