Teams from France and Germany train in Puerto Rico for ISA 2024

Training on the wave of the last event that qualifies surfing for Paris 2024

Leon Glatzer, Tim Elter, Noah Klapp, Rachel Presti from Germany, among others, and at least Joan Duru from France, are currently in Puerto Rico, training for the ISA World Surfing Games that will take place between February and March 2024 and will be the last Olympic qualifier for surfing.

As shown in their stories, the team members are training and strolling around the island of enchantment.

Local media outlet Primera Hora reported that Puerto Rican surfers such as Brian Toth and Havanna Cabrero will be practicing with surfers from visiting countries, according to statements by federation member Oscar Martinez.

“They come to practice and to get to know each other. Some delegations arrive and spend about 10 days practicing. There are already athletes who have also arrived individually to practice. And others will arrive later to practice and will stay for the competition,” said the authority.

“All these people have come here and have been an economic boost. France is here with 10-12 people, while Germany also has a team of 12-15 people, including coaches, athletes, photographers,” he added.
