For Hawaiian Nathan Florence to say he surfed what is probably the best right-hander of his life, something special must have happened.

He went deep with his 7-footer, straight for the tube, a very wide and long section fell in front of him, he walked through the foamboall, managed to get around it and on top of that, go through one more session.

"The size, the intensity, wearing a wetsuit on a 7-footer that I had never used before," Florence said, which were key to her saying what she says about the wave.
