The 10 best-selling boards of 2018
Merrick, ...Lost and Firewire are the big winners
The top 10 best-selling surfboards in 2018 were Channel Island’s Rocket Wide, Slater Designs’ Cymatic, …Lost’s Puddle Jumper HP, JS Industries’ HiFy Monsta Box, Rob Machado/Firewire’s The Seaside, Jon Pyzel’s Ghost, Channel Islands’ Neck Beard 2, …Lost’s Sub-Driver, DHD’s Mick Fanning DNA and Sharp Eye’s #77 were, according to Stab, the top 10 best-selling board models in 2018.
The calculation is based on data shared by sellers, manufacturers and market experts in the aforementioned publication. In addition, only high-performance boards were considered and not SUPs, foils or any other type of board.
What all the boards have in common is that behind each one there is a successful surfer: Dane Reynolds with the Neck Beard 2, Filipe Toledo with the #77, Slater with the Cymatic and of course Mick Fanning with his DNA.
On the list, if we had to point to a winner, it would be Channel Island and …Lost and Firewire that have two tables each brand in the listing.
The list is completed by the Australian companies JS, DHD, Pyzel and Sharp Eye.
If it were a battle of countries, the United States would have won the battle against Australia and Latin America would have been left out if we consider that Marcio Zouvi, Filipe Toledo's shaper, is Brazilian.
