During a visit to Los Angeles by the President of the International Olympic Committee, Thomas Bach, it was announced that the 2028 Games will take place between July 14 and 30, several international media reported.

It has not yet been announced which event will take place on which day, but following what happened in Tokyo and what was announced for Paris 2024, at least three of those days will be for surfing.

Although it could be more given that for the 2028 edition the ISA is asking for SUP and also Longboard to be added.

On the other hand, it was announced that the Paralympic Games will be held between August 15 and 27.

It is not yet known whether this year's edition will feature surfing for the first time.

The other big unknown for these games is which beach the Olympic Committee, the Organizing Committee and the ISA will choose to host the event.
