The Argentine longboard circuit begins tomorrow
The twenty-second edition of the Kikiwai Longboard Classic will bring together the best in the country in a two-day event that will award 10 categories
The Rip Curl Kikiwai Longboard Classic, the first stop on the Argentine longboard tour, will take place from tomorrow, January 31, until February 1, in Mar de Plata, the event organizers announced in a press release. This is the twenty-second edition of the tournament started by one of the pioneer families of Argentine surfing, Daniel Gil and his children and grandchildren.
The first day of the championship will see the qualifying rounds for all categories, and the second day will see the final rounds to determine the first champions of the circuit.
The categories to be competed in are: Open, Ladies, Junior, Beginners, Under 14, Master (from 35 years old), Nose Riding, Big Kahuna (from 50 years old) and Tandem.
There will be prizes worth 80.000 Argentine pesos in cash (The prizes will be $80 in product and a Surfland longboard distributed among the winners.
