The Chilean Wave is back
For the fourth consecutive year, the best moments of Chilean surfing will be awarded

A new edition of La ola de Chile was launched today, the event that awards the best moments of Chilean surfing year after year. The categories for this year will remain the same, awarding a total of 6500 dollars to La ola de año, Olón del año, Punto de vista (Camera de acción), Pagón del año, Maneuver of the year and Trip of the year.
The money will be distributed as follows:
Wave of the Year: Surfer: US$2400, Cameraman: US$800
Wave of the Year: Surfer: US$ 1100, Cameraman: US$ 480
POV (Action camera): US$ 240
Pay of the Year: Surfer: US$ 240, Cameraman: US$ 160
Stunt of the Year: Surfer: $320, Cameraman: $60
Trip of the Year: Surfer: US$ 320 Cameraman: US$ 160
“The spirit of the competition is to promote national surfing and motivate the search for perfect sporting conditions, each of which is recorded and then evaluated by an outstanding technical team, made up of experienced Chilean surfers, highly recognized judges and audiovisual experts,” said Tomás Mekis, one of the founders of La Ola de Chile.
The tournament closes its admission date for waves on September 25, 2018.
