The Chinese version of Slater's pool was tested
The wave is considerably smaller but the technology seems very similar.
On January 31, China unveiled its first surfable wave pool, said at the time to have cost around $26 million, and today the first video of the wave being surfed by some of the country's top athletes was revealed.
The pool is located in Qingfeng, in the city of Puyang in Henan province and everything indicates that it is part of an extreme sports complex that was presented on June 8, according to information provided today. China DailyIt has skate parks, BMX tracks and climbing walls.
The project is funded by Beijing Sports University.
