The fourth stage of the ALAS Pro Tour, to be held on October 19 and 20 in Jobos, Isabela, Puerto Rico, closed with 90 entrants in the six categories in dispute (open, under 18 and under 14 men and women).
The open category had the most entries with 48 men and 16 women, followed by the Under 18 category with 12 men and 9 women, and the Under 14 category completed the table with just three women and two men.
In all categories there are important names, both local and foreign, such as Nono Pereira, Brian Toth, Jason Torres, Bryan Pérez, Mauro Díaz, Joaquín del Castillo at the men's level and Mimi Barona, Maya Larripa, Rubiana Brownell, Melanie Giunta and Rachel Agüero at the women's level.
The North Atlantic has remained active in recent days with the arrival of a good swell a week after the start of the event, but unfortunately, at least today, the forecast for the 19th and 20th does not look encouraging.
Anyway, as local surfer Juan Carlos Gerena told DUKE (see here), Jobos is one of the most consistent waves in Puerto Rico.
The series is expected to be published in the coming days.
