Maresias QS 3000 has been cancelled
Lack of money forced the decision. Brazil was left with only one men's QS in the whole year

The QS 3000, which was scheduled to take place in Maresias, Sao Paulo in October, has been cancelled, according to the Rede Globo website and the WSL itself on its calendar.
The tournament was listed as tentative throughout the year and is now no longer visible on the events page.
According to Globo, the reason was a lack of financial resources, especially from the prefecture of San Sebastian, which did not guarantee the money and therefore the decision was made.
It is reported that the intention is to do so in June 2020, but there are no guarantees in this regard.
With this, the only men's QS tournament to have been held in Brazil at the end of the year will be the Hang Loose Pro Contest that took place in Fernando de Noronha between February 19 and 24.
A very contrasting reality with what happened 20 years ago when the bulk of the QS points were disputed in Brazil.
