Franco, Maia, Luis Radziunas, Thiago Passeri, Nicolás Ludovino and Luis Cafiel won the 2026 edition of the Quiksilver Full Moon Sessions that took place yesterday in Chapatrapa, Chapadmalal.
The victory earned the winners 1,3 million Argentine pesos, and they also had the best wave of the event, thanks to the surfing of the current Under 16 world runner-up, Thiago Passeri.
The event “brings together different generations of Argentine surfers in a unique team competition format, where the spirit of camaraderie is the main protagonist,” wrote Sebastián Chacón, press officer for Quiksilver.
The teams competing were:
New Moon: Juan Cruz Ruggiero – Lucía Indurain – Facundo Ruggiero – Jakue Aguerre – Marcelo Ray – Kong Galindo
Crescent: Martín Passeri – Cocó Cianciarulo – Juan García Mata – José Frías – Fernando Aguerre – Walter Villalba
Full Moon: Nazareno Pereyra – Indiana Assman – Simón Siri – Valentino Zazzeri – Javier Echegoyen – Mariano Navarro
Waning: Franco Radziunas – Maia Radziunas – Thiago Passeri – Nicolás Ludovino – Luis Cafiel – Luis Radziunas
Chacón added: “The final decision came down to the Masters. In the last heat of the day, with the sun setting, Luis Radziunas displayed a solid and powerful backside that ultimately secured the victory for the Menguante team.
During the awards ceremony, Quiksilver Argentina recognized Facundo Ruggiero, Juan García Mata, Maia Radziunas and Thiago Passeri, members of the Junior team that represented the country in the last ISA World Junior Surfing Championship, held in Punta Rocas, Peru.”
The event ended with a performance by Fernando Ruiz Díaz of Catupecu Machu, Equinoxio and the Manigot brothers (Ella Es Tan Cargosa).
“With the first full moon of the year as a witness, the Quiksilver Full Moon Sessions shone once again thanks to the best Argentine surfing,” Chacón concluded.
