The WSL Finals will be sponsored by Rip Curl for the next three years
The tour will have at least four stages of the first division with the sponsorship of the Torquay brand
The WSL and Australian brand Rip Curl announced today that at least the first three editions of the tour finals will be sponsored by the brand after signing a three-year agreement.
The WSL Finals will be a one-day event taking place from September 8-17 at Lower Trestles, featuring the top five ranked players of the year to decide the world champion.
With this, Rip Curl won four stages of a tour that does not seem to have more than 10 stages in the entire year.
The second stage in Newcastle, the next in North Narrabeen, and the fifth in Rottnest Island will all be sponsored by the brand.
Rip Curl CEO Neil Ridgeway said he was delighted with the deal, saying that as the finals rotate, “next year it might be the Mentawai and that means we all end up going there,” he joked.
