The Young Guns final will take place at Kelly's pool
In addition to the Future Classic, the Founders Cup and the Surf Ranch Pro, there is a day with four of the best groms on the planet
Kelly Slater's pool will be hosting a new tournament. The Future Classic, Founders Cup and Surf Ranch Pro will be joined by the Young Guns final on July 27. The top four boys aged 13 to 17 will compete on the world's best artificial wave for $10.000 and the prestige of being champion.
The final event, which has taken place in Brazil and Sumatra, will be held away from the ocean for the first time. In order to qualify for the second phase, which is attended by the top eight, the period for posting a video on Instagram has already opened. The video must contain the hashtag #ygsurfcontest and mention @quiksilver.
Once the period is over, which ends on June 18, pros Leo Fioravanti and Kanoa Igarashi will choose eight semi-finalists from whom, also through Instagram but with votes in the stories, the four chosen to go to the Surf Ranch will emerge.
The format of the grand final has not yet been announced.
