Lucas Silveira, Leandro Usuna, Miguel Tudela, John Mel, Lucca Mesinas, Cristobal de Col, Jeronimo Vargas, Kauli Vaast, Carlos Muñoz and Joaquín del Castillo were the last to make it into the round of 32 surfers today on day 4 of the Maui and Sons Arica Pro that in two days will define the grand champion.

It was the day with the smallest waves of the competition and in view of the fact that the sea will grow for tomorrow and the day after, the tournament director, Roberto Perdigao, decided to stop after completing five series.

There are 19 series left to complete the tournament and the finale is expected to be luxurious, with good sea breaking especially on Sunday.

The best performance of the day was by Joaquín del Castillo, who found his way out of a deep and long tube and was paid 8,33, which he backed up with a 2,4.

He was followed by Kauli Vaast from Tahiti and John Mel who both added 10 points to win their heats. The young Mel from Santa Cruz said he surfed the best waves of his life in a QS event.

Tomorrow the call was made at 645:7 in the morning to start at XNUMX.

Álvaro Malpartida came close but could not beat Kauli Vaast and Jeronimo Vargas in a series that had three former champions and two were left out because Tomás Tudela also lost.
