It was a tough Day 3 at the Billabong Pro Pipeline, with only Tyler Wright having a decent heat in which he found more than one opportunity to score points.

The rest of the women battled and there were series that ended up being decided by tenths of points and totals of two.

Below are some of the best photos of the day:

Bettylou Sakura Johnson advances to the semis after beating Gabriela Bryan in a series that was decided by tenths of a point.
Brisa couldn't find her rhythm and lost to Lakey Peterson.
Carissa found a right without priority, she got a miraculous tube to get into the semis.
The miracle tube that Carissa came out of.
Gabriela Bryan lost a series in which the winner scored just over two points.
Lakey Peterson beat Brisa with a right hand, but this one from Pipe turned out well.
After emerging from a roof, Lakey Peterson attacked like this.
Molly Picklum is a very good boss. Her series hasn't progressed, but she made it clear that she's not in the mood for games.
Tyler Wright, author of the best score of the day.
Thank goodness he put tubes like this in.
