Related 2: Steph's performance was sublime

To think that Brisa had Stephanie Gilmore between a rock and a hard place.
A painful and admirable scene: Moore congratulates Gilmore for taking a whole year's work off of him in two series.
Lowers was packed for the finals.
Ethan Ewing (pictured), Jack Robinson, Johanne Defay, went almost unnoticed on the day of the finals.
Filipe and his wife's first kiss as world champions.
The new world champion.
Toledo did not do any significant aerials to win the title.
That feeling.
Italo stayed close.
Italo did fly, and he flew high.
On more than one occasion.
Igarashi flies defeated and Italo victorious comes out of switch.
It wasn't an epic Lowers but it showed good conditions at times.
There was a big hug between Italo and Filipe after the final.
Steph also got her share of hugs.
And kisses.
The first maneuver of the wave that gave Steph the victory
That 360 tail slide was also key to the Australian's victory.
Happy Gilmore.
Surfing with good fundamentals.
Foaming bath.
