In the words of Lucas Chianca: "A unique moment in Brazil, at home. I had the honor of surfing the biggest wave ever recorded in the country, 14,82m at Laje da Jaguaruna. It was quite a mission: I was in Bahia, in Barra Grande, when I got the call. That same day, I organized everything, headed to Rio, flew to Santa Catarina, and our epic days of surfing began.

The first day, we went to Rosa, which was already huge. The second day, the reward: truly impressive waves at Laje da Jaguaruna, like I'd never seen in Brazil. A surreal energy and a day I'll remember forever, with a top-notch team and incredible waves.

"I'm so grateful to my team, the kids from Jagua, and everyone who was part of this special moment," the Brazilian concluded.

According to Globo Esporte, "at 14,82 meters, the wave that broke on July 30, in Laje da Jaguaruna, in Santa Catarina, known as the “Brazilian Nazaré”" was the largest in the country's history.
