The Shootout will award $10.000 per session to the surfers who stand out the most in sessions with significant swells, in special locations around the world.

The winning surfer(s) can be anyone, as described on the competition page: An underground surfer or a well-known professional. Basically, it has to be the highlight of the session. This surfer will win $5000.

Then there will be a local winner who will take home $3000 and a winner for a shocking moment.

There will be a maximum of three sessions from now until the first days of 2025 to be awarded.

The Shootout was born last year during the swell of the year in Namibia, Jordy Maree won and Nadia Erostarbe took home some special prizes. It was a less formal event than the one they just launched.

Winners will be determined by the Now Now Media team and the surfers of the session themselves.
