The Uruguayan Surf Union confirmed today that the first stage of the national circuit, Copa Medialunas Calentitas presented by La Isla, will take place this Friday, January 9th, at the waves of La Posta del Cangrejo.
Starting at approximately 8 AM at the classic surf break of La Barra, the best in Uruguay will be competing in the first test on the road to determining the 2026 national champion.
The wave forecast shows a window of adverse weather for Friday since there will be storms on Thursday, as well as on Saturday and Sunday.
Based on this, the technical authorities made the decision.
The Copa Medialunas Calentitas presented by La Isla is giving away $1500 in cash.
