Special coverage presented by Surf City - El Salvador Travel 

Nadia Erostarbe and Guillermo Gutiérrez are living proof that if you really want something, have the talent, and follow the process, dreams come true.

They come from Spain, a country that is not traditionally surfing, beyond some exceptions, such as the Basque Country (where Nadia is from), of course, but without a giant government program that generously supports surfing, much less.

But with talent and an understanding of the rules, they climbed the ladder: regional QS tournaments, Challengers… One year as a first replacement, staying in contact with the tour and boom! Finally, a CS stage win to guarantee 100% entry into the CT.

With a bit of suffering, of course (in the last stage of CS Nadia left the door open and had to watch it from the outside, suffering).

Now more established on the CT, with a third place finish on the Gold Coast, two guaranteed round of 16 results and currently ranked 13th, it seems Nadia is here to stay.

And those two are a story apart. A love nest in a world of competition, egos, and beating each other to be the best in the world.

There they go, the two of them, making the tour their home, loving each other, coaching each other, and sharing each other.

Furthermore, each one is living their dream: Guille as a coach couldn't ask for more than to coach someone on the CT, and Nadia as a surfer, well, that doesn't even need explaining.

Watching them is a welcome respite for the eyes in this professional surfing scene, so articulate, so fake at times; it's a breath of authenticity, of grace, of good vibes.
