The Madness of Max Torres
The two most radical one-point waves of the Pan American Championship
Special coverage sponsored by ASOSURF
Max Torres waited four days to hit the water, saving too much energy for his first heat.
Two big wolves came at him and he didn't hesitate to attack them.
The first one, he felt he'd completed it and celebrated, but it wasn't to be; he was given a score of 1,87. The second was another crazy one, in which he ended up breaking the oar.
The coach told him to calm down a bit. He did, and he won the series.
