The most complete wave pool Wavegarden will open in Korea next week

With 56 “producer” modules, the first images of the complex located south of Seoul have already been revealed

The most complete wave pool with Wavegarden technology ever built, the Siheung Surf Park, located in southern Seoul, South Korea, will open to the public next week and the first images of the wave testing have already been revealed.

It is the most complete, Stab reports based on Wavepool Mag, because it has 56 wave-producing modules, greater than the 46 that URBNsurf has in Melbourne and the 40 in Bristol (a similar one will be built in Fort Pierce, Florida in 2021).

This allows the wave's shape and size to be varied more precisely than other waves.

The pool, which will be part of a half-billion-dollar entertainment complex called Turtle Island, covers two hectares and is capable of producing between 300 and 1000 waves per hour.

Sungyong Ko, the most famous South Korean professional, was the first to post images of the wave, followed by the official Wavegarden account showing Eneko Merino testing it.

Wavegarden praised Merino and his interesting work testing waves, and in the video he can be seen taking a tube.

On his Instagram, the Basque tester can be seen tube riding in Mundaka. To test Wavegarden, he had to show his credentials, it seems.
