The president of El Salvador met with Trump and they talked about surfing
This was declared by the foreign minister of the Central American country to the international press; Bukele continues his strong campaign to promote surfing tourism in his country

The young president of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, 38, has made quite an impression at the United Nations General Assembly. He arrived there as a father with his newborn daughter and his wife, took a selfie in the middle of his speech, and met with Trump, who was visibly pleased with what the Central American leader had to say.
Speaking to reporters, Bukele said that both he and Trump are “nice and cool” and that they both use Twitter, so they will get along well.
For her part, the foreign minister of the Central American country, Alexandra Hill, told The Voice of America: “It was a click and a spontaneous rapport between both presidents” adding that they talked about surfing and the beaches of El Salvador.
Bukele is promoting the Surf City project that aims to encourage surfing tourism in his country. A few weeks ago, a delegation of California authorities visited the country to advise on the development of the project.
Several sources have told DUKE that there are intentions to hold international events there. The Latin American circuit calendar, for example, marks its final test there.
