No one wants Slater on tour more than the WSL. A series with Slater, a championship with Slater draws half the views, an event without Slater takes all of them away.

The whole wildcard thing that I see being talked about on social media has nothing to do with whether the WSL will give it to him or not, presumably the WSL has already told Slater that they have it, with a bow.

Logan has already gone and told Kelly to come to Surf Ranch, Brazil, El Salvador, JBay and Teahupoo… It all depends on what Slater wants to do and you never know with Kelly.

From the signs he's been giving, it seems that the best in history is having a good time going to all the stops of the tour for the last time, making his last run and trying to put in good performances. Today in Margaret he broke it like in his best moments.

Competing in JBay and Teahupoo is something that surely motivates him. He has had good results in his pool as well. He has never been to El Salvador and although he avoids Brazil, perhaps he likes to say goodbye to his fans there.

But as was just said, you never know with Slater. With the WSL, yes, the wildcard is there for him; that's my two cents.
