Alan Cleland is on a roll. He has just taken the lead in the WSL North America rankings, qualified for Paris 2024, is a world champion and continues to be a star in free surfing.

He was in Hawaii and is already well versed in barrel waves. He rode this one in free surfing, everyone gave him up for dead but he got out in the last space that the wave gave him.
