Surf Web Series South Africa semi-finalists announced
Of the more than 50 competitors who started in the two divisions, only eight now remain.

The men's and women's semi-finals of the South African edition of the Surf Web Series, an online tournament organised by the Mexican production company Surf Open League, were decided by a high-level quarter-final.
After a thorough review by the four judges and public votes, the following series were determined:
Men:
Shane Sykes to face Josh Redman
Chad Du Toit to face Dale Staples
Four heavyweights were left out: Luke Slijpen, Steven Sawyer, Gavin Roberts and Davey Van Zyl.
Among the ladies, the semi-finals were as follows:
Faye Zoetmulder will face Zoe Steyn
Sophie Bell will face Ceara Knight
