Carlos Zevallos' courage is inversely proportional to his age.

While 30-year surfing veterans want nothing to do with the waves he rides, the 17-year-old Peruvian is increasingly pushing his game, his surfing, his life.

On January 22, at the same time that Eddie was in the water, Zevallos went to the outer reef of Himalayas, surfed some intermediate waves until he painted one that nobody wanted.

People yelled at him to go ahead and he went. Koa Smith himself, who has seen it all, said: "I've never seen a bigger wave in my life," referring to the wave Zevallos was paddling for his life in the middle of the ocean.

In this interview, the young Peruvian tells us from Mecca everything that happened with this historic session.
