The surfing beach in Santiago 2023 will be Punta de Lobos, Panamsports has just announced in an official statement sent to the media.

The president of the organization, Neven Ilic, had announced last week that the surfing event would be held in Pichilemu but did not specify which of its beaches.

Forty-one venues in 41 municipalities and four Chilean regions will be used to host the second largest multi-sport event in the world.

The Pan American Games will take place from October 20 to November 5. The exact date and format of the surfing, longboard and SUP events are not yet known, nor are there any other disciplines.

“I am very happy to formally announce all the sports and disciplines not only here in Santiago, but also in other regions. This means a lot to us, being able to decentralize sports and these games. I have no doubt that we will have a wonderful party and that we will be united as a country to welcome in the best way the countries and athletes who will visit us next year,” said the Minister of Sports of Chile and President of the Santiago 2023 Corporation, Alexandra Benado.
