Top 5 remains unchanged after day 7 of the Pan American Games
Only Brazil and Peru have all their shortboarders still in the competition.

Twenty-seven decisive heats were held today and the top 5 of the partial team ranking of the Pan American surfing championship remained unchanged, with Brazil in the lead, Peru in second, Argentina in third, Puerto Rico in fourth and Panama in fifth.
Even the gap between first and second place, which yesterday was about 2500 points, remained the same, with Brazil now having 18093 and Peru 15578.

The door is still open because four out of 10 categories remain to be defined, which translates into important points to be defined.
Of the top teams in the event, only Brazil and Peru have all their open teams still alive.
Argentina and Puerto Rico saw their women's open divisions fall out of the event.
