Tube of the month: Alvaro Malpartida and a "beautiful bubble" at Desert Point
And a poorly controlled start with very, very little water after seven seconds in a perfect barrel.

Peruvian Alvaro Malpartida is pure class on the tubes and here he proved it once again. He spent seven seconds hiding before emerging onto the exposed coral at Desert.
It was a "great trip," Álvaro told DUKE, "a beautiful bubble," he added.
“It dried out and the reef bumps came out, the wave went crazy at the end. I was saved, I didn't control that fall at all,” he said about the end, adding that it was “a miracle” that nothing happened to him with the fall on his back.
And, speaking of boards, he made the trip with a 5'7.
