The wave pool at El Nido, the Wavegarden Cove that will open in the coming months in Uruguay, will feature the CheckMySurf - Surf Eye surf recording system, which uses artificial intelligence to "identify your profile, track your route and create clips of each of your waves," they said in a statement published on social media.
As they explained, the system includes:
“Automatic recording: High-resolution cameras record each wave from multiple angles.
AI Assignment: The computer identifies you and assigns the videos to your customer profile.
Instant delivery: You receive your edited videos via direct links to view, download, and share.
Some of the main features of this system are: “In addition to saving your memories, the system offers advanced tools to improve your surfing. Live review: You can watch replays of your waves on giant screens next to the take-off area. 3D training: Includes automated biomechanical analysis and coaching tools. Intelligence and safety: Helps instructors monitor safety in the lagoon in real time.”
On the Surf Eye website, they describe themselves as "the number 1 network of surf cameras powered by artificial intelligence."
The system is used in swimming pools in Brazil, the United States, Switzerland, Portugal, Germany, and Italy, among other countries.
