The world surfing circuit returns to Costa Rica
In September or October a women's and men's QS 1500 will take place in Jacó
Costa Rica will host a new date for the world surfing circuit at the end of September or mid-October of this year, one of the tournament organizers told DUKE, who preferred not to be named.
The men's and women's QS 1500 will take place in Jacó either in late September or mid-October; discussions are underway with the WSL's North American office to determine the date. Production company RPM, which organises large-scale events in the Central American country, will be in charge of carrying out the championship. One of the first changes from the last QS was to move it from Esterillos to one of the largest coastal cities in Costa Rica.
So the possible dates for the event, which would once again be called the Esencial Costa Rica Open, are September 27-30 or October 18-21.
With the return of the tour to Costa Rica, Noe Mar McGonagle, Carlos Muñoz, Tomas King, Leilani McGonagle, Emily Gussoni and many others become favorites in the event.
